I really like this one Rick! Dark melody, so again, perfect title. I love what you did with the C, emphasizing the E and Bb. Also cool was the chromatic lead-in to the D...nice! You have a gift for composing nice melodies. If if wasn’t for this forum, we’d never get to hear them! And of course, you’d be deprived of my often over-the-top analytics and commentary!

Thanks a bunch Greg. Had to pull out the guitar to get an idea what you are pointing out. :>) Analytics and commentary are always fine, even if I may not grasp the theory.

A classic in the making. I might think of it as Blackout’s a Comin’ as we’ve had three in the last couple of weeks (and still have one). Greg, what would you call that chord —C7,9?

Thanks Janet. As long as the blackouts help keep fires from starting, I guess that's a good thing. But I empathize with your situation; blackouts are only the (far) lesser of two evils. May the winds blow in the right direction for you. How close are you to the nearest fire?

Not trying to hijack brother Rick...just saw where Ms. B had posted here.
Banjer-wise I’d just call it C7. I guess in the guitar world we would hang the moniker C7/E. I may have that “backerds”...but essentially a C7 with E in the bass, or lowest note.
Now back to your regularly scheduled program. ; )

We’re not close at the moment, Rick. Two fires yesterday were 25 miles on either side. Our electric company will seek compensation from us because of their financial losses due to wildfires they caused. I guess the goblins are really a comin’.
