Here is a clawhammer tune I wrote. Marmot's Moon is the name of a children's book that my wife wrote and illustrated, but never published.

Rex's Blues played clawhammer style in open G tuning (gDGBD). I use lots of brush skips in this arrangement to try to get the picking rhythm closer to the way I hear it played on guitar.

A couple tunes I learned from Brad Leftwich's "Round Peak Style Clawhammer Banjo" book. Somewhere along the way I fell into playing these as a medley. aDADE

I learned Folding Down the Sheets from Adam Hurt in a banjo workshop here in Portland a couple of years ago. My son Erik subsequently absorbed it from hearing me play it around the house. One night he was messing around with it and started playing it in a minor key. I thought it sounded cool, so I learned this version from him. I started jokingly calling it Shorting the Sheets.

Learned from The Cliffhangers "On The Edge" CD where BHO member Brendan Doyle plays the banjo behind Mark Simos' fiddle. Still needs some work, but I thought I'd share what I have so far. gDGBD.

I learned this from Brad Leftwich's "Round Peak Style Clawhammer Banjo" book. Took me forever to learn. Don't know why. Nowadays I use more full chords in this song to round out the sound. gDGBD
