I recorded this using flat picking and finger picking. I think it has that 1960's Western movie feel.

This is not based on the instrumental, but to create a lyrical fun song about a Hillbilly in love. In an early Rim Reeves style.

Last year I worked on an experiment, Can I Get Young Kids Who Liesten To Duff Duff Music Listen To Bluegrass ? (And not have to play Dueling Banjos...) So I recorded a pure blassgrass banjo tune with guitar and bass. Then I added keyboards and electric techno drums (duff duff). I got the sound I wanted. I sent it to radio Tripple J to see what they thought. They put it on their Top 100 Blues & Roots Chart at No.36. The song was so popular that it reached No.6. and the station got so many emails. Not because of the duff duff, but what is that guitar sound ? They loved it. Did I do the wrong thing to bluegrass, I would love to hear from you all. But keep this in mind. A dictionary explains Bluegrass music as - Mountain Music mixed with the pop sound of the 1940's. If that is so, then Newgrass is Bluegrass mixed with pop sounds of the 1960's. And what about the Stoneman Family doing the GO-GO dance while playing banjo and mandolin. So is Technobilly just the next generation ? The difference between Duff Duff music and my song is you don't need a massive amp in you car to get that Duff Duff sound and if a kid put the CD version of my song in the car with a massive amp, it would blow up their speakers. Wait a minute, I maybe on to something..........! What is your view.

I wrote this instrumental after attending an Irish Jam Session in Adelaide, South Australia. Their banjo players weren't big fans of bluegrass like I. So I wrote something that fitted in.
