Just some idling to show the entire range of the banjo as powered by a Burlile tone-ring. When paired with the right rim, proper set-up, and bridge, these rings come the closest to delivering the prewar sound than any other ring I have tried. Tone comparison between F453-2 and a Gibson copy. Mahogany, 0.7" Snuffy Smith "style III" bridge, GHS PF140s, torrefied maple rim. Recorded via Neumann u87ai microphone through Focusrite Clarett 2-pre.
