This is a tune I wrote back in July of 2006. The tune was inspired while watching some young prairie dogs playing and chasing each other in and out of their holes. They were certainly having fun and I tried to make the tune convey that playfulness. I hope you enjoy it. My wife, Lynn, is on bass and I'm on banjo and guitar.

I had posted this in video sometime back, but someone asked me to post it as an MP3, as well. This is my version (sans single string work and some of the GREAT licks John McEuen included when he recorded it in his "String Wizards" album). BTW, I posted the video on my YouTube page where John McEuen came across it, listened and commented on my attempt at his song. His comment was only three words: "Close. Very nice." That blew me away! Anyway, here it is in MP3 format.

With everyone's thoughts on the political season, I thought I would throw my hat in the ring..."The Ring Of Fire," that is. Again, my favorite bass player (my wife Lynn) accompanies me while I pick the banjo and guitar.

This unusual tune was done by Ronnie and Robby McCoury. I believe it was written by Ronnie and done on their album, "Ronnie & Rob McCoury." This is my arrangement of the tune. My wife, Lynn, is on bass and I'm on banjo and guitar.

This arrangement is the result of a request from my BHO buddy, "Branding," who asked me to record Tennesee Stud. My wife, Lynn, is on bass and I'm on banjo and guitar. I hope you like it, Branding!

Ennio Morricone's great theme to the movie, "The Good, The Bad And The Ugly" done on banjo...complete with the whistling and "Hoo-Hah's." ;^) I was inspired to come up with this arrangement by my guitar picking buddy, Wyatt Troxell, and (believe it or not) "The Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain!" This tune was a big challenge. My wife, Lynn, is on bass and "Hoo-Hah's;" I'm on banjo, guitar, whistling and "Hoo-Hah's." :^D I hope you enjoy it!

This is my BANJO :^) version of George Harrison's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." I was inspired to play it on banjo after hearing Gabriella Quevedo play it on guitar on YouTube.

I posted this in response to someone looking for an easy, Scruggs-style version of the tune. (It was tab they were looking for, but I don't have any tab for this tune, so I posted an audio.) Some folks don't like to capo up to 7, but in this case, I don't think it sounds too high. It's just a simple, straight rendition of the tune. My wife, Lynn, is on bass and I'm on banjo and guitar.
