Another rushed recording and the sound quality is terrible but I wanted to record this "New" Select Hard Maple I have. This came off the block I'm using to build another neck for my Kalamazoo tenor. Playing my RB-00 conversion.

Just learned this tune that I believe was written by Steve Martin. I'm playing my Kalamazoo conversion.

Rock Bartley sent me some old hard maple he had gotten from an old counter top out of a house in Kalamazoo. Really nice sounding bridge wood.

I'm playing a bridge made from an old Slingerland 1 ply rim. The wood is Birdseye maple.

This was a quick recording of the new roasted red maple wood that I've been experimenting with. The volume is a bit low and not as clean as I would have liked the picking to be.

Testing out another piano rail Birdseye maple bridge. Y.Z. Newberry sent me this wood a couple of months back. Playing the Kalamazoo rim with Sullivan conversion ring.

I finally got a different desktop (faster & more memory) so I can start recording using my M-Track usb interface. This computer has Vista which use to belong to my son. The M-Track works fine on it. My other desktop has XP and it would not work properly on it at all. This is pretty rough....it's basically raw tracks with no mixing. I'm using a Behringer C-1 condenser mic and Reaper DAW. I had no way to add a bass track. I use to use my son's keyboard but since they moved, I'm with out a keyboard bass.

This is a Jim Mills version, though certainly not exactly like Jim plays it. It has always been a tough tune for me and I won't even say how many takes it took me to get this bad recording. I'm playing the mahogany with Memphis Belle tone ring and old gym floor bridge. I added the guitar track and up right bass track. Another good tune to practice learning the bass.

Trying my new M-Track audio interface with new Behringer C-1 condenser mic that my son & daughter-in-law got me for Christmas. Had to use my wife's laptop using Reaper. M-Track only works with Windows 7 & 8. I'm playing my curly maple Purcell banjo with a red maple bridge.

This is a Kalamazoo rim cut for a OPF and Sullivan conversion ring. I'm using my style 3 mahogany neck on it until I finish my RB-00 neck. A big thanks goes out to Dick Guggenheim for his fantastic job of cutting the rim and matching the stain.

I re-recorded this song in the key of C which was a little easier for me vocally. My oldest son played the fiddle and sang harmony vocals.

I've had the new RB-00 neck on the Kalamazoo/Sullivan pot for two days now and just got the RR spikes in last night. I'm using a 5/8" Red Maple bridge in this recording. This is for you Mitchell McDougal.....not the best pickin' but I just wanted to record some stuff with the new neck in it's early stages. I'm capoed in B. No singin' in this one.
