Here's a live cover of this Boone Creek tune by my band "Rain Check". You'll have to excuse all the background noise..it is a restaurant/club after all. We are the 'house band for this place, called "Oscar's Grille", in Winston-Salem NC. Its a great venue and the owner Steve Dumas treats us fantastically.

This is a live cut of the board of a recent gig in Chapel Hill NC at First Baptist Church. This group is called Folk Psalm. The mission is to add new music to the Psalms and to use more modern wording while keeping the scriptures message intact. I used my Rk-36 on this and it sounds great, as usual.

One of my originals that I wrote back in the 90'S. A friend of mine makes great Muscadine wine every year and a bottle of it inspired me-haha. I donated this tune to the upcoming Shady Grove Band CD. Im glad it got used. I played an orginal RB-1 on this cut. Too bad I sold it in France months after this was recorded. Oh well, al least I got a recording of the jo...snif,snif..

My version of The Steely Dan classic. Im a huge SD fan and always wanted to work up a 'full blown' version with acoustic instruments and percussion. I was glad The Kidd decided to provide me with drums, guitar and all the mixing. He also added his banjo and we had fun working this all out. Check out my triple banjo threat-haha. My reso gets a chance to participate too. Thanks!

My triple banjo version of the ol' jazz standard from the early thirties. Rhythm banjo, brushed banjo, and a lead banjo. All mixed on Audition with only some reverb and volume adjustments.

Just a snippet of random picking on a freind of mine's style 11 conversion. This is a great prewar banjo. I just got finished with a set-up a day or two ago and have been 'breaking it.

I found this CD while cleaning up a stack of them. This was recorded in 2000(?) with a group called Wood And Steel. We recorded this live in an old auditorium, if I remember correctly. This was my granada with Ryan tonering.

My banjo cover of the TV show theme song to "The Andy Griffith Show". This is THE best show on T.V. barre none. Andy was one of ours, here in Mt Airy. After i heard of his passing today, I stayed up late in order to have time to do it. This is for Andy,Barney and the whole cast.

An orignal that came from messing around in C minor tuning and looking at my Regulator wall clock. This will be on the upcoming "Rain Check" Cd project. I used my old 80's GF-100 Gold Star for this cut.

This is my band Rain Check, performing at the Blue Ridge Music Center back in July of 2014. This is our cover of the great old VanZant tune. I was playing my 1980s Gold Star GF-100. Man what a kick butt banjo it is in a good PA system.
