Alternative tunings for the 5-string banjo...

Saturday, February 1, 2014

Hey guys! Just writing this blog to ask the people of Banjo Hangout if they know of any good alternative tunings for folk and country music on the banjo. Feedback is much appreciated...

Cheers,

Richard

My name is Richard Pickstock otherwise known as 'Tichie'. I'm from Merseyside in the United Kingdom and I teach I wide variety of banjo playing styles from Country to Bluegrass or Clawhammer to Old Time. I've been playing the banjo for as long as I can remember and I'm never gonna' stop, the Banjo is the best instrument I've ever played and I have played a fair few instruments in my time. My inspiration was "rpeek" who I discovered via YouTube, he was the one who got me into the Clawhammer style playing and I love it. Hear is a link if anyone is interested in his five star lessons! "rpeek's" channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/rpeek ... Cheers ;)
