Retired accountant fro TE Connectivity. Played keyboards and electric bass in college. Introduced to bluegrass in 1976, bought an upright bass and played bluegrass until 1983 and put music on the shelf to raise a family. Got the bass out in 2010 and started jamming. In the mid to late 70's at bluegrass festivals I heard the Highwoods String Band and Country Ham and loved that style of music, not knowing what it was. While jamming at the hardware store in Waynesboro PA I bought Highwoods "Danced All Night" album. With the help of the internet I found Jenny Cleland, Highwoods bass player and Walt Koken. With YouTube videos of old time music I'm being pulled from bluegrass to the dark side. Lord help me as I venture into the world of clawhammer banjo. 2012 purchased a fretless A scale from Mike Ramsey.
