I have used just about every ( stick on the banjo head ) pick-up available. some are better than others but all seem to give a banjo that ( tin can ) sound when you have to really crank it up. The mics that that clip onto the rim of the banjo seem to be the ticket and there are several models for sale at Banjo.com. Has anyone had much experience with these? Just thought I would test the water before making the purchase. I have even thought about designing a clip that would hold a full size Shure SM58 mic up against the bottom portion of the banjo head. talk about quality sound but the extra weight might not be too welcome after a couple of hours.
