Been trying to teach stuff to the younger generation lately. Probably due to my unintentional elder statesman look(the weatherbeaten face staring into the distance, the vague and incomphrehensible pronouncements),
these bright young sparks keep showing up at my door and asking things like "when you drop the thumb down in the second bar,do you hammer on or pull off?"
i try and maintain my status of wisdom, but its been a shock to me that i have no idea how to explain what i'm doing,in fact i dont even know what im doing myself.
This is a real eye opener,it makes me respect players who can read music and know how to join all the dots up via tablature etc, they have a framework to base themselves upon.
Me,i'm lost.
