Well today I should be receiving my new Chuck Lee banjo. It is quite a piece of art. I got a very nice email from Chuck. He said he had made it for himself out of choice pieces he had set aside across the years. Then decided he better have something nice to show/sell for his 10th anniversary. So he shipped it off to Zepp the day it was complete for his anniversary piece. I purchased it the day after it arrived. Marc at Zepp said it was one of the most beautiful banjos he has ever seen.
The UPS tracking says it arrives today. Appropriate as today is my 46th birthday. I started to learn banjo as a way to feel more connected to my grandfather who passed long ago. It has brought to me more than that. I have had fun, learned a thing or two and made some great friends.
Oh if you're wondering, just because someone can afford a nice banjo doesn't mean they know how to play it. Myself is a great example of that.
Take a peek at my incoming beauty!

UPDATE: Well I just went to the tracking for my banjo and it has been pushed back to delivery tomorrow the 18th. All I can say is UGH! So much for getting here on my birthday, but I'm still excited.
