I grew up more interested in sports than music. I got my first harmonica and guitar in college and later played a little bass. I never pursued banjo, but somehow I always knew I'd get one eventually and learn to play. One day in early 2011 The Be Good Tanyas' web site led me to J. Romero Banjos and I was blown away. Soon I was in up to my neck trying to build an open back inspired by Romero and archtop guitars. Finished as of my birthday, November 2013. Next!
