Music From East Anglia

Wednesday, February 17, 2016

I like traditional East Anglian Music. It has behind the beat appeal.  I've recorded Downham Market Hornpipe, Old Mrs Huddledee, Barton 7 & George Craske's Sustead Schottische; all tunes that fall easily to a banjoist's fingers.

I have been playing guitar since I was a teenager and spent a few years playing a plectrum G banjo in Ceilidh Band. A couple of years ago I got started on clawhammer. The repertoire is varied and I mostly arrange my own stuff. Recently I have been trying to adapt the style to suit English Country dance music but I still play many of the classic Old Time tunes.
