Started playing music in my early teens. Mainly in different punkbands, but i've listened to old americana, and irish and swedish folk music since childhood. Have played my own singer/songwriter stuff on and off since around -87 or so (accoustic guitar). A lot of friends chipped in to buy me my old 5-string for my 18:th birthday, and i've played around with a bit (mainly tried out clawhammer style) since then. A year or two ago i found myself really bored with guitarplaying and decided to make the commitment to learn to play banjo properly, especially bluegrass style. Been struggling with tabs and picks ever since.
