Finally joined this site. I've been using it for years. It,s members have made it a great source for anything banjo and for that I'm truly grateful. I enjoy making banjos out of parts I acquire from places like an E-Bay auction or yard sale listing to salvage and make a decent sounding banjo. I'm sure there are many people on this site with a similar interest. So a question I didn't find the answer to (I may just have missed it}. (1} Is there anyone who manufactures and sells wood tone rings? I like the idea of my next project to start with the tone ring. If not I have question {2} Can I make one using a similar method as a block rim? I have no lathe or band saw so maybe I'd be biting off more than I can chew.
Thanx,
Paul
