Been playing since 1972 got into bluegrass bands in 1975, played banjo professionally til 2022. Have set in with many bands when needed and dabled in old timey dropthumb the last 10 years, played with a contra dance band with Mel Durham, what a great privlege it was to pick with him til 2004. Also flatpick guitar, enjoy playing my old Martin guitar with the Orchard Mountain String Band based in Salem Oregon. Just moved to Southern California and playing banjo for the Backroad Rambler Bluegrass Band. Now have moved to Batesville Arkansas playing bluegrass and some dropthumb banjo in the Ozarks, Loveing it at the age of 79
