I have enjoyed a love of the old 5 string banjo as far back as I can remember. I learned to repair and build banjos over the years because I loved the look and sound of the old ones. I try to build a banjo that looks and sounds like one that has been sitting in a sealed box for over 150 years, just waiting to be discovered by someone like me. That's why I started building The BOWLIN 1865 Fretless BANJO. I try to build a banjo that looks like the one in my imigination, that I hoped someday to discover . I enjoy getting to know banjo players with the same interest, I continue to make friends because of the banjo, and hope I always will. It's been a true blessing for me. Thank you, to all the special friends that have helped me on my banjo journey through life.
