I'll be visiting both England Scotland and Ireland soon, anyone suggest things to do or see? My wife has the trip all planned out, but maybe there are some things that she missed. Will have some flex time in Dublin, Llandudno and the Western Highlands and Sky. Will be touring around the coast of most of it.

Life - work, wife, kids, dog, Church family, friends, when time...banjo! Took piano lessons many years before I got a banjo, but found the finger picking a real challenge, took at least a year of practice to get even picking and speed good enough to play in front of anybody. My dad cashed in some penny stock he had and bought a banjo, guitar and bongos. Even bought me a small accordian. I divided my practice time between piano, guitar, and banjo and some mandolin for decades. Only thing is I could have been an "expert" at one thing instead of good at a few things, but my attention span insists I try as many instruments as I can. I think I have a well rounded knowledge because of it, so it's ok to spread out a little. I studied Classical piano until I got my grade 8 Royal Conservatory and Grade 2 Rudiments so that helps a lot when it comes to understanding theory and putting music together. Then I got into the world of midi and synths and that opens up a whole new world with unlimited learning of computer programs and digital recording, so lots more time invested. Then for a few fears I spent much spare time creating midi files for a 5 piece band and playing piano mostly along with it, a worth while experience. There's so much more to learn, and I'm looking forward to buying a fiddle soon, when I retire from my present job, and have a little more time , I hope to "master' that.
