Playing Since: 1989
Experience Level: Expert/Professional
Interests:
[Teaching] [Jamming] [Socializing] [Helping]
Occupation: Musician, builder, jeweler. In that order by preference.
Gender: Male
Age: 52
My Instruments:
Flathead Gibson (my father got an old pot years ago and built a neck for it. It has no resonator), an S.S. Stewart and a Maya Masterclone turned into a thumpy gutbucket. A couple of homemade instruments: a fretless longneck with a Profitt-like head strung with gut, a fretless Danish cookie tin banjo. I just got a plastic Harmony. For what it cost and what it's made of, it's astonishingly good.
Favorite Bands/Musicians:
Wade Ward, Art Rosenbaum, Dock Boggs, Bascom Lamar Lunsford, Buell Kazee, Hobart Smith, Virgil Anderson, The Holy Modal Rounders, Blind Willie Johnson, Marc Ribot, Captain Beefheart, John Lurie.
