Sixth Man Mountain Song at Sea Cruise

Thursday, February 7, 2013

I just returned from spending 3 glorious days at sea with 1200 bluegrass players and fans.  One of the highlights for me was the Deering banjo workshop.  Jens Kruger explained the importance of trying different bridges.  Greg Deering talked about head tension.  It was amazing to be in a small room on a ship headed to the Bahamas with these icons.  Del McCoury sat in with The Steep Canyon Rangers.  Chris Thile sat in with David Grissman.  What a blast!!!   I recommend this cruise to one and all!!!
