I live in Ravenna, Ohio with my wife Rachel and 4 year old daughter Ruby. She is an elementary school teacher. I'm a medical student and former high school science teacher. I'm a fiddle player who picked up the banjo three years ago and am self-taught. My grandfather played in a country gospel band at my church when I was a child and I started playing music with help from his friends. From there, I took classical violin lessons in high school and middle school but hated it. Since college, I've played fiddle in a Pogues cover band, The Boys from the County Hell, with my friends in Cleveland. A good friend sparked my interest in old-time music 4 years ago and I love playing in my spare time.
