This 1925 TB-4 Ser.# 8171-11A arch top was purchased in 1973 from Mandolin Bros. in Staten Island NY. The neck was done by John Monteleone, who was their luthier at the time. I do not have the original tenor neck. The banjo was factory gold plated and has a bell-like tone that's distinctive and powerful. It has 5th string railroad spikes at the 7th and 9th frets. I've had the instrument for 50 years and I hate to part with it. The parts are all original and there is a slight defect at the bottom of the resonator, which was present when I purchased it. I've installed Keith pegs on the instrument and will return the original tuners when sold. With HSC. Serious inquiries only.
