This banjo was produced in 2009 and was rebranded from a Recording King RK-R80 to a Flinthill banjo. There is a story about why that happened, but I won't bore you with the details unless you are interested in the banjo. This banjo contains RK parts, instead of the Golden Gate (Saga-Gold Star), including an RK 3-ply maple rim and RK Tone ring. This is a very powerful banjo. It will stand its own against many $2K plus banjos out there. Although the head shows wear, there is only a little fret wear. There is a thin line visible on the binding on the 5th string side of the neck where multiple bindings were laminated. It is secure, but visible. Note the spot on the resonator is just a reflection. The resonator is in great condition. The only reason I said "good" to describe the condition is the line on the binding. (See last banjo picture) Comes with hardshell case. A youtube video comparing this banjo with 2 others can be found at youtu.be/DdlU7lIXNVg
