This is one of 25 handmade banjos by Bill Gibson of Reading Pennsylvania. This is the only one made with Brazilian rosewood.
Bill Gibson is known around this area to have created some of the best banjos made. He made most all of the parts and completely built them himself.
I'm listing this for the original owner who ordered this from Bill Gibson in the 80's. Interested buyers will definitely be able to contact the owner who knows all about it and the builder.
These banjos are pretty elusive and exclusive. I can remember meeting Bill Gibson when I was a teenager and he labeled this maple/Brazilian one as his "most exotic" I also remember him saying something about how it was the first and last time hes using Brazilian.
Of course if anyone is around Reading you are welcome to play it and check it out in person. As I said I'm listing this for the original owner who isn't terribly internet savvy.
