PENDING. I just ran across this in my closet and had meant to put this together but am never going to get to it. Has customed turned Cooperman rim with aluminum hardware including aluminum flathead and aluminum coordinator rods. 1970's Gibson style 100 resonator that someone carved a folk art American Eagle into. This resonator needs binding on the top lip. 1970s Gibson RB-100 neck that needs finish. It was cracked a long time ago and repaired. Repair is difficult to see but it's there. Gotoh tuners, Armrest, Genuine calf skin head and two extra Remo heads. 2 sets of strings, most all hardware needed to complete banjo is here. It has a lightweight sturdy case, not hardshell but not flimsy either. I forget what these are called. I believe this is from Musicians Friend many years ago. It looks new.
I really wanted to complete this and keep this but I've been away from banjo for too long and completely forgot I had this. This would make a nice lightweight banjo with a funky 70s Americana look to it. The resonator and neck are very nice quality, neck still has serial number on back. It's never gonna be worth a lot but I thought finished it may bring $1000, but it will certainly have a lot of character.
When I was actively selling parts, I would sell these pots (Cooperman rim and aluminum hardware)for $350 and the Gotoh tuners for $100 a set, surely the rest is worth the additional $50. Rim is turned so that both the tonering and flange fit the rim correctly. This should be easy to set up once it's finished and back together. If anything is missing, I'll dig through old parts and complete the hardware for you. I know it's gonna be some work to complete but with Asian necks selling for almost $400 now-a-days, this should be a no brainer at this price. I hope someone feels the same.
