Description
This is a vintage ODE Style C Banjo that was made in 1980 in the USA. This is absolutley a quality banjo made with top quality materials that plays and sounds fantastic. This is all original except a set of Keith D Tuners which is a serious upgrade. This also includes a very nice archtop case which I think is the original case.
This has a walnut neck and resonator each with white binding on each side. The fretboard is ebony with very attractive inlay going all the way down the board.
The hardware is nickel and all original including a one piece flange and the original ODE 20 hole tone ring. I mentioned this has Keith D Tuners at strings 2 and 3 but everything else is original. This is a very strong banjo that you will love.
Condition
This banjo is in fantastic shape. The finish on the neck and resonator are incredible with only some nearly invisible button indentations in the resonator. They aren’t scratches, there is simply an area where when angled in the right some light indentations from buttons are noticeable. The finish looks great and the frets and fretboard are in fantastic shape with spikes at frets 7 and 9.
The hardware is clean all the way around. It is a bit dull but still clean. That is because this is a Vintage Banjo. The case is in very good shape inside and out. This is a clean package.
Set Up
This has a Remo frosted head which is set to 90. The bridge and strings are both Huber. This banjo has been set up for power and to produce some bang and pop. The strings are also set up very well and this banjo is a stellar player as well.
