Description
This is a very early Stelling Superstar Banjo. This is All Original other then a set of Upgraded Keith D Tuners and the buttons on the 1st and 4th string tuners. The 5 star tuners are original but I changed the buttons to match the buttons on the Keith Tuners. This banjo is gorgeous and a fine example of a Stelling Banjo.
This has a curly maple neck and resonator with an ebonall fretboard. The fretboard has snowflake position markers. The hardware is nickel and all original. This includes a one piece Stelling ribbon flange and Stelling No Hole Tone Ring. This banjo is gorgeous and has a lot of smooth pop and definitely strong volume.
Geoff Stelling has retired and his banjos have gotten very hard to find. There will be no more Stelling Banjos made. This is on the low end of price for what these are going for now and is in fantastic shape. Plus the original case is clean inside and out.
Condition and Set Up
The banjo has been cleaned at the banjo warehouse and is stunning. The hardware has a nice glow and all of the finish is clean with a nice sparkle. . The frets are basically perfect and the fretboard is clean with spikes at frets 7,9, and 10.
The banjo has a new Remo Head which we have set to 90. The bridge and strings are also new and the banjo has proper intonation and this is also a fantastic player. This has a new Gary Sosebee bridge and new Huber strings. This also has a professional set up so it really plays and sounds fantastic.
This is a great opportunity for a Stelling Banjo Lover to get a beautiful Stelling that is clean and set up and ready to go!
