This is a collaboration between me (Mark Hickler) and my cousin, Dave Gill.
Basically a Hickler rim with an Asian neck commissioned and designed by Dave Gill.
Vietnamese necks are incredibly beautiful and detailed with carved heels and more, but are they reliable? This neck has been stable for four years in Arizona. Therefore a stable as any neck I have ever made. Plus I will stand behind this product.
This is prototype number 3. The only thing wrong with it is that there are small bumps in the rosewood veneer that you can barely see, but you can feel if you run your finger along the veneer.
Specifications:
11" rim
26.25" scale, 22 frets
Whyte Laydie tonering (Rickard)
Gotoh tuners
Renaissance head
24 shoe brackets
Hand engraved tailpiece
