***FOR SALE: OME Oettinger 5-String Adjustable Finger Tailpiece, Aged Brass, Excellent Condition -- $175 + $10 USPS Priority Mail***
Believe it or not, this tailpiece is only four or five years old. I purchased it new from the OME Banjo Company and it was a VERY shiny brass wonder to behold. But seeing as how this tailpiece was destined for an OME North Star banjo with antiqued brass hardware & furniture, the decision was made to artificially "age" the tailpiece brass so it appeared to be at least 100 years old and to blend in with that banjo. As evidenced by the accompanying photos, the effect was nothing short of stunning... the tailpiece appears to be older than Methuselah!
Apart from the aging process, this tailpiece is in Excellent Condition, if not Near-Mint. Oh, and if you're unfamiliar with Oettinger-style tailpieces, each 'finger' on this five-fingered tailpiece is adjustable, independent of its neighboring finger. This design affords you the ultimate in adjustability to dial-in volume & tone for each individual string.
Priced new, this tailpiece will set you back a whopping $375 when purchased from the OME Banjo Company (see the 'More Info URL' link to view OME's offering). The tailpiece I'm selling, however, is priced at a stupefyingly low $175. That's TWO-HUNDRED (as in "Two-Zero-Zero") dollars less than if purchased new.
