Today I'm offering 40-each, lightly used gold plated hooks, plus 23-each gold plated Gibson-style nuts.

Please know that these hooks are not your run-of-the-mill gold plated hooks, no, they were delivered to me many years ago, brand new, with a rough, rustic-looking gold plated finish on them. The gold plating itself is absolutely fine and, apart from the threaded section, each hook exhibits absolutely no signs of wear.

I can only assume that when the hooks were manufactured, they more than likely had a rough surface on the bare metal prior to the plating process. And when the plating was complete, a rough 'rustic' looking gold hook was the end result. So I used these hooks for many years on a banjo whose gold plating was tired, worn, and gasping for breath. When I installed these hooks, however, the banjo perked up immediately because the rustic looking gold turned out to be the perfect foil to the existing worn hardware.

Also included with this sale are 23-each Gibson-style gold plated nuts. Because I'm missing one gold nut to complete a set of 24, I substituted the missing nut with one that is nickel plated. With a resonator installed, however, you'll never see the odd nickel plated nut, and neither will anybody else.

Shipping is $11 for flat-rate USPS Priority Mail insured & tracked. Sorry, this sale is restricted to the contiguous 48 United States. No sales to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, or any foreign destinations. Bummer. :o(
