This beautiful curly maple resonator began its life on a late-model Gibson RB Deluxe banjo (circa 2007 - 2008 maybe?). The inner flange lip diameter was increased to allow for installation on a Stelling Afton Star (the flange diameter on these later Stellings is a bit larger than their predecessors). In its current configuration this resonator will fit most Gibson, Deering, OME and Stelling banjos, albeit a bit loosely before the resonator attachment thumbscrews are synched up tight. Surprisingly, the neck notch closely matches the heel profile of late-model Deering, Stelling and OME banjos, making for a nice, clean, factory-installed look.
The outer nitro finish of the resonator's back and sides is nearly flawless with no nicks, dings, dents, scratches, marring, rocket-blast charring, folding, spindling, or mutilating (did I forget anything?), oh yeah, centipede scuff marks. In other words, the outside is primo for a 15-year-old resonator.
This resonator comes with Deering-style resonator wall lugs installed, and I'm even including Gibson-style wall lugs as well. Accompanying resonator thumbscrews in either style, however, are not included.
$35 for shipping, insurance and tracking via US Postal Service (USPS) Ground. IMPORTANT NOTE: If the shipping cost is less than the stated $35, you will be reimbursed the unused balance via PayPal. If, on the other hand, shipping exceeds $35, I will absorb the overage.
