These notched tension hoops, with the interior stamp reading “E2”, were found on a lot of 1920s Gibson Banjos. Not sure what this one came from as it was in a pile of parts I recently acquired. The nickel plating is worn off in spots and there are plenty of scratches and signs of decades of use, but this hoop still has plenty of life left in it.
