1974 Gibson J-50 player grade.
Sitka spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, black binding and pick guard. Guitar projects good and sounds good. Lots of wear from being played hard and traveled hard. It's pretty rough but plays okay and sounds like one this beat up should. I have used it on stage many times.
The neck and rosewood fretboard appear to be original and untouched. No cracks or repairs that I can see. There is a thumb wear mark in the first chord position and on the headstock from a capo or tuner. Serial number is not stamped strong but remains visible (B301105). Has new bone saddle.
Body has seen multiple repairs including a 3-hole knob fill on the top and single jack hole on the bottom. All cracks are cleated and fixed, but repairs are visible. You can tell the body has been oversprayed with lacquer. Has newer bone saddle and ebony bridge pins.
Sell or trade.
Comes in non original, period correct, chipboard case.
