This is a nice modified banjo using Ludwig parts. The brass rim and flange has a new walnut rim fastened inside with shoe bracket bolts.
The original pot metal tension hoop must have crumbled long ago so my friend,machinist John Stevenson,converted it to a 26 hook setup.
The neck is 3 piece with center strip that goes all the way through,plenty strong with double truss Rod too.
The resonator is pretty as can be. It feels and plays great.
