I have a beautiful 12" openback that Zach made for me a couple of years ago. I would like to trade for an 11" openback. Would prefer another Zach Hoyt or a banjo of similar quality. Width of neck at nut must be over 1 1/4" I am posting this ad while out of the country through January 15 so am using the photos taken from Zach's site. I can post photos of my banjo when I get home.
This is taken directly from Zach's site:
This banjo has a white ash rim, neck and Romero-style armrest, with a hop-hornbeam fretboard and a curly ash peghead overlay. This is the first banjo I have made from darker colored ash boards. I don’t know why some ash trees are white all the way through and some have dark areas in the center of the trunk. All of the wood in this banjo except the bridge came from trees that grow here where I live, that I cut down and made into boards at the sawmill. This banjo has a Renaissance head on a 12? block rim with a wood tone ring profile and ash rim cap. The scale length is 25-1/2? and the nut is 1-3/8? wide. The neck has a two way truss rod accessed from the heel, brass dots, EVO fret wire, Gotoh tuners and Corian nut and pip. I made the Van Eps style tension hoop and the dowel stick yoke, the tailpiece, tuners and head came from Smakula Fretted Instruments, and the rest of the hardware came from Balsam Banjo Works. The finish is Tru Oil. There is a brass plate on the dowel stick with the banjo number and such on it.
