This banjo has a vintage Gold Star mahogany neck from the Japan era. The hardware is modern classic Mastertone style hardware with very nice gold plating along with a flathead 20-hole tone ring on a 3-ply maple rim. The resonator almost has a satin finish showing signs of wear with beautiful curly maple. Obviously this banjo is a "mahogany" tone with the neck being so and the sweet tone of gold plating.
