1926 Gibson Mastertone ball-bearing. SN# 8482-131 TB-3 5-string conversion. Appears to be an older conversion; neck looks appropriately aged. Really looks like an original five string. Plating in beautiful condition.
Original Grover tuners; fifth-string peg appears period. Original Presto tailpiece I have owned this banjo for 30 years. I had the neck off when the head was replaced; the heel was penciled 131 but this was not a Gibson practice. Listed in the Swann Guide as a tenor.
