This banjo started its life as an Recording King RK-R80. However, something happened between the Chinese manufacturer and Greg Rich. They parted company and the remaining group of banjos were sold to Saga under the Flinthill name. That group of banjos became the rare bread of Flinthill R80's. This is a very powerful banjo. It will stand its own against any Gibson or $2K plus banjo's out there. I've added a video on youtube to demonstrate the richness & clarity of sound it projects. Although the head shows wear, there is little fret wear. There is a line on the 5th string side where the binding was laminated. It is secure, but visible. Comes with hardshell case.
