A Banjo Kicker is a device I came up with that addresses the problem of not being able to see your banjo neck while standing, It also lets you hear it a little better since it tilts your banjo up toward you.
It is barely noticeable when not in use since it swivels flat. The first photo is without the use of the kicker the second with, ( before and after)
It may require you to reposition your strap to make it work . ( Please see attached photos.)
I hand craft each one from brass and nickel plate them. It comes with a small piece of plastic tubing to be cut and used as a spacer. The plastic tubing is just to keep it from rubbing your flange and push it to the bottom of the tension hoop. You just need a very small piece depending on your space between the tension hoop and flange.
Here is my good friend Josh Holifield putting it to use at the Everett's Music Barn.
