THIS BANJO IS SOLD! Thanks for your interest.

***Huber-Nechville Hybrid 5-string Banjo -- $1,395 plus $175 for USPS Priority Mail shipping***

For your consideration is a Huber "Workhorse" pot assembly mated to a curly maple Nechville "Orion" neck and matching resonator. The "Orion" inlay pattern neck is affixed to the Huber pot using Nechville's patented "Flux Capacitor" module which allows for easy adjustment to neck angle. This affords you the freedom to use different bridge heights and setup possibilities not found on standard Mastertone-style banjos.

The Huber Workhorse pot assembly consists of a stock Huber rim, flange, tone ring, tension hoop, coordinator rods and bracket hooks. The only thing non-standard to this pot is the Sullivan 11/16-inch bridge, Renaissance head, and patented Deering zinc-alloy tailpiece which helps to prevent unwanted overtones while enhancing overall volume and tone.

The banjo is in Excellent Condition with a small exception to the resonator interior which shows signs of a past life when it was married to a Nechville "Excelsior" rim using 3-D printed friction mounts. Before installation on the Huber pot, the glued-in friction mounts were removed and replaced with standard resonator mounting hardware, hence the evidence of the five friction mount glue points. However, none of this is visible when the resonator is installed on the current pot.

As previously stated, the banjo in is excellent condition. To my discerning eye I can detect no scratches, dents, or dings to the finish of the neck or resonator exterior. The same excellent condition which applies to the neck and resonator exterior also applies to the Huber Workhorse pot assembly. The rim exhibits no signs of wear whatsoever, and the metal plating is pretty much pristine. Oh, and speaking of no wear, the frets are in outstanding shape with just the very tiniest bit of wear to the first four frets, but even then, if I didn't mention it, you would never see it.

And lastly, the hardshell case. Ah, yes, that miserable excuse for a hardshell case. Don't get me wrong, the case is serviceable, all the latches work, the interior is in decent shape but, in my opinion, the padding is way too sparse. The exterior is, well, the pictures speak better than words can describe. But please understand that it is this hardshell case which is helping to keep the overall price of this banjo affordable. My recommendation: at your earliest convenience, ditch the current case and purchase a new Superior hardshell case because this banjo deserves it.

The asking price of this beautiful Huber-Nechville musical conglomeration is a low $1,395 plus an additional $175 to cover the cost of shipping, insurance and tracking via US Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail.
