Reproduction of S.S. Stewart "Common Sense" banjo tailpiece (TP). Bronze/stainless steel base, ivoroid rosette. Vintage TPs were nickel plated brass with walrus ivory rosette. Reproductions are pretty close to the originals.
I did some research on three variations of the Common Sense TP, see more at the "More Info URL"
I carve the rosettes by hand from vintage ivoroid bathroom accessories (hairbrushes, etc.) and they vary slightly in appearance.
All bases + rosette = $70, bases only = $50. Shipping to lower 48 states = $5. Bases for Original and Improved TPs come with a hex head machine bolt similar to the original (not shown). Base for Piccolo comes with a j-hook in case you want to add a rosette.
09/22/22 update.... price for bases increased by $5 to pass on higher cost from fabricator.
