SALE PENDING. Late ‘70’s Mark Leaf banjo case. The much overused saying “built like a tank” would apply in this particular instance. The interior is in good shape and there are scrapes and abrasions on the surface but no holes or surface breaks. Just normal wear that a well cared for case will acquire over the years.
The top and base do not line up perfectly which affects the function of the latches. The top part of the latches will have to be moved outward a a few millimeters to match the lower latch. This is due to the fact that the case got a bit hot in the sun about 20 years ago and the edges of the top swelled enough to render the forward latch un-closeable. I used the case for several more years with one latch closed and never had any problem. But in order to be safe I would suggest the repair be done. I have started the work but no longer need the case nor do I wish to be bothered so I’ll will pass this along at a very reasonable price to someone that wishes to do the work. This should be a fairly easy repair for someone. Once done, this is about the most heavy-duty/durable case made.
