An original Fairbanks-by-Vega Little Wonder 6-string Guitar Banjo. Not many of these were made. This one is all original with the exception of the Remo Renaissance head and the bridge (a re-slotted 5 string Sullivan bridge). The grover spring-loaded tuners may be original or contemporary aftermarket replacements. The finish and hardware plating are overall in fairly good shape for the age, but do have some wear (see photos). The neck is straight and the frets are good aside from some wear in the a couple of the "cowboy" chord positions. Dowel and rim serial numbers match and date the banjo to ~1921. The tailpiece is the original 6-string no-knot.
The banjo plays well, sounds great, and holds tune.
