This is a nickel plated Sullivan arch top to flathead conversion tonering. I do not know how old this ring is, but it is in serviceable condition. There is a small flat spot on the side of the skirt that can be easily corrected (see picture). I was going to use this on a prewar arch top rim, but decided against changing the original ring. It weighs in at a whopping 3.355 pounds and rings a C#. I had heard that the weight of these had been increased on newer runs and that might be evident here with it weighing over 3 pounds...I think that is in its favor. There are great rings and can preserve you original rim, because once you cut it, there is no going back.
Thanks for looking.
