Vintage Alvarez Bowtie Deluxe 5 string Banjo MADE IN JAPAN
This is an all original Alvarez Bowtie Deluxe from Japan that was made either in the late 70's or early 80's. This has been inspected, cleaned up and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description
This has a rosewood resonator and a maple neck with rosewood fretboard. The fretboard has bowtie inlay. The hardware is either nickel or chrome and is all original which includes a one piece flange and 20 hole tone ring. The armrest and tailpiece are each engraved. This banjo is definitely a really good banjo for the money and includes an original hardshell case.
Condition
This is in great shape and has been cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse. The metal has been buffed with a high powered buffer and basically looks new. The finish is in great shape and has been waxed to a shine as well. The fretboard has been cleaned and oiled and the board and frets are in great shape. There are no spikes or 5th string capo and there never has been.
There is some kind of damage on the face of the headstock above the 3rd string tuner. That definitely effects nothing but it is there. Other then that this banjo is in great shape and the original case is in good shape as well.
Set Up
This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse. The head is a new Frosted Remo and is set to 90. The bridge is set with correct intonation. This has new Huber truetone strings and the action is set well. This is a strong player that sounds really good.
