This is a wonderful Vintage Japanese Aida Masterclone Banjo. This has been inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description
There were some banjos that were made in the 1970's over in Japan that are regarded as Masterclone Banjos. This is due to their high quality while still being a Japanese Banjo that ultimately is affordable. This is a great example of a 2 piece flange Masterclone that is all original and clean.
This has a thick shell with a mahogany neck and resonator. The fretboard is rosewood with a Flying Eagle inlay pattern. The neck and fretboard each have white binding and the headstock has more inlay work. The hardware is chrome and except for the tailpiece is all original including a 2 piece flange and a full size 20 hole tone ring. This banjo even has an engraved armrest. The tailpiece is a Presto which is definitely an upgrade and this is a better banjo with it. This has a modern hardshell case.
This is the banjo to get for the player that wants a great sounding banjo at a great price.
Condition
This has been well taken care of and has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse. The hardware has been disassembled and buffed to look new. The wood is in great shape and has been waxed to a shine. The fretboard has been cleaned and oiled. There is some wear on the first few frets but that does not effect anything. The banjo has spikes on the 7th and 9th frets. The banjo is in fantastic shape and the case is in good shape also.
Set Up
This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse as well. The head is a new Remo Frosted Head which is set to 90. The bridge is a Grover and the intonation is set. The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the banjo is a smoking hot player!!! This is a top quality banjo that is set up to maximize performance.
