This Sparkle 6 from 1928 F.O.N. 9242-18 was originally a tenor and was converted many years ago with a Frank Neat neck that now has the vintage vibe after all these years. It really has the look and feel of a factory neck of that time period with an original peghead overlay most likely from the original tenor neck. Also the original gold plated Grover 2-band tuners are installed in the neck. The rim is an original 2-piece flange flat-head and the Mastertone label is in near mint condition and un-cut. The 2-piece flange is original to the banjo with the original gold plating. The original ring was a light weight and now has a full weight, high profile Huber HR-30 installed. The rest of the metal including hooks/nuts, tension hoop, armrest, double-hump tailpiece, reso mounting hardware, and co-rods are new from Steve Huber. The resonator shows the F.O.N. in chalk and paint in the normal spots and is in excellent condition.
