Solid little 5 String SMALLER Than a Piccolo!
Posted By: ahmet | Rate Member
This is small 5 string banjo built from an original 1920's Buckbee Banjo Ukulele. It has been upgraded with a brass tone ring and nice geared tuners and bone nut and pip.
The rim is seven inches with a thirteen inch scale length, and the overall length is around twenty one inches. The head is skin and holds tension well.
This banjo is a solid little oldtime player and easy to transport and store. Will be shipped with a new gig bag.
I call these "Piccoleles" as they are a cross with its bigger brother, the Piccolo, and the Banjo Ukulele. Very close to a Piccolo banjo but the neck is slightly shorter.
I have built more than 50 of these, all of them different, and of course must release a few once in a while(at least thats what they tell me).
If you would like more info and a video of this Piccolele, please visit my site:
