This is a walnut & rosewood 12” open back #92 made by Mike Chew at Dogwood Banjos. Gorgeous instrument with a brass tone ring and brass hardware, and the signature Dogwood construction. See pics for details of craftsmanship. Really pretty flame on the rim; and nice contrasting (maple?) stripes on the neck. Only one issue: there is a small section of wood filler near the tailpiece where the rim meets the wood cap. It’s probably been there since the banjo was built, has never moved since I’ve owned it, and is in no way structural or affecting the sound. Honestly it looks worse in the pics than in real life, and I’ve never noticed it when playing and/or admiring the banjo. Will ship in a hard case that is in good shape and protects the instrument well - its only issue is that it’s a little tight fit around the rim, but the padding compresses enough to fit the rim snugly. Contact me with any questions. Only selling because it doesn’t get enough playing time and I could use the money for other projects. Shipping for $75 to CONUS or pick up in Louisville, KY (possibly could deliver within a few hours drive, let’s talk. I am often in Chicago these days).
